 Lighting a fire under San Diego's creative community
Ignite San Diego showcases the community's movers, shakers, creators, thinkers, innovators, doers and dreamers in a fast-paced format designed to inspire. What can you do with 20 slides and five minutes?  A wonderful afternoon to celebrate Baby Roper & the mama to be!
Our afternoon started with a wonderful spread of tasty treats, including the incredible layered red velvet & cheese cake shown above. And the guests showed off their creativity decorating onesies. I think it's safe to say we're all excited to meet this little man!  Last year I made a new years resolution, I wanted to turn my love for photography into more than a hobby. It has been an amazing year. Along with documenting my own travels, I have photographed a newly engaged couple, adorable little ones and sweet families, marketing for a charitable organization, and yoga instructors. This year many of my favorite things have come together in front of my lens. Thank you to all of the wonderful faces shown in this post and many many more, you have encouraged me to continue something I have dreamed of for a long time.
Happy New Year from my heart to yours!  I was lucky enough to help out the Kansas University Dance Marathon leadership team and capture their 'we dance for' pictures! This amazing group of people are in charge of the annual KUDM event.
"KUDM is a twelve-hour event held in the fall semester at KU. KU students stand during the entirety of the event to show their support for all of our kids and families from KU Pediatrics. The day is packed with relays, competitions, games, photo booths, and of course, every dance style imaginable." The donations for this event go to KU Pediatrics, University of Kansas Miracle Network. Katie & Matt are engaged! We spent an afternoon hiking a few miles around Balboa Park to climb trees, play on chimneys, search for their shadows and take some adorable pictures. These two were up for anything and I had a wonderful time documenting this exciting occasion in their lives.
